‘100 Who Care’ support Chasing Hazel Foundation
A group of 100 “women who care” and 100 “men who give a damn” opted this year to support The Chasing Hazel Foundation, which raises awareness about Down Syndrome.
The philanthropic groups meet every year and hear pitches for funding from local charities and non-profit groups.
There at least 100 members of each group and each member donates $100 to raise money to support local community groups. Every penny donated goes directly to local charities.
This year, the groups donated $25,000 to $30,000 to the Chasing Hazel Foundation, which chronicles the life of Hazel Seguin, a young girl living with Down Syndrome.
The women who care and men who give a damn are part of the 100 Who Care Windsor-Essex organization, which also has a Kids Who Care division.
