The historic Sandwich town is Windsor’s hotspot for spooky ghost stories. With its rich history, Old Sandwich Town attracts all sorts of people. There is a lot to learn about its old buildings, the Captain and the dacoits.

Monkeys with a Typewriter Theatre Company is trying to capture the essence of the town and organized The Spirits of Sandwich Walking Ghost Tour through Old Sandwich Town.

The tour features spooky folklore and legends surrounding one of the region’s oldest historic settlements. Those who attend will find out about the area’s history and suspected spirits that lurk in some the oldest buildings in Windsor.

This year’s walking tour will take place on Oct. 15, 22 and 29. It begins in the parking lot of Mackenzie Hall (3277 Sandwich St., corner of Sandwich and Brock) at 8:30 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m.

This event is a way to experience some local history and have a few scares at the same time.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
