Truck accident

Sept. 26, 2014

A Windsor truck driver took down a corner utility pole line at Crawford and Elliot while turning a corner too tightly.

A transport truck was spotted running over a stop sign and power lines on Friday at 1 p.m. before proceeding to drive on.

Vicki Tilt, a witness to the accident said it seemed as though the driver turned too tightly when coming out of the Border City Storage lot. She also said he had stopped and had taken a quick look back

before driving off, southbound, on Crawford Ave.

When the driver, who remained adamant against giving his name, returned to the scene later he said, “I couldn’t see,” and mumbled about the damage done to his trailer.

No one was injured by the accident and police responded quickly.
