Stay safe while drinking this Halloween
Three young men were stabbed at a house party on Friday. A man remains unconscious after injuries sustained during an early morning brawl Sunday. Alcohol was involved.
Halloween is notorious for increased alcohol consumption. According to statistics Canada, Halloween is consistently in the top three weekends for number of arrests for impaired driving. Windsor has also had instances of multiple stabbings the past two Octobers.
With Halloween coming up this weekend, there are measures to take to stay safe while out enjoying the festivities:
1 – Leave a situation where safety is a concern.
2 – Monitor alcohol intake.
3 – Never get into a car with a drunk driver.
4 – Be aware of the surroundings.
5 – Know the plan to get home.
