A Windsor man is in custody for alleged drug trafficking, according to police.

The suspect was located at 8:15 p.m. on Monday and was placed under arrest without incident.

Police said they were granted “judicial authorization” to search the man’s apartment on the 1600 block of Rooney Street.

The 57-year-old man allegedly had just under 30 grams of crack cocaine and 5 Percocet pills in his residence, all which have been seized by the police.

Authorities also seized a digital scales, a cellphone, more than $1,110 in Canadian currency and more than $70 in American currency.

The man has been charged with possession of crack cocaine for trafficking purposes and possession of oxycodone.

This is the second cocaine drug bust in 14 days, with the previous one being on the east-end on Nov. 28.

The investigation is ongoing.
