Caesars Windsor Cares and its Employee HEROs fill backpacks for homeless.

On Monday, Feb. 12 at 1:30 p.m. the Jovis Room at Caesars Windsor was stuffed with backpacks.

Caesars Windsor Cares and its Employee HEROs donated 400 backpacks, filled with basic necessities (gloves, hats and toiletries), to the Downtown Mission and Street Help, which work to end homelessness in our community.

“Although it’s our first time organizing this donation, we’ll continue (doing this) for these homeless. It’s always fulfilling to help others,” said Caesars’ manager of human resource services Nichole Howick.

Ron Dunn from Windsor Downtown Mission was on hand to accept the donations. Caesar Windsor Employee volunteers had been stuffing backpacks throughout the day.
