Windsor’s Polar Plunge at St. Clair College
The Polar Plunge is back again at St. Clair College’s SportsPlex to support Ontario’s Special Olympics’ athletes by taking a flying leap into very cold water.
A large crowd was on hand Friday to cheer on dozens of daring dippers.
Our reporters Angelica Haggert and Alyssa Horrobin were there to cover the event live on the MediaPlex’s Facebook page.
According to Nick Goran, president of the Students’ Representative Council, around 150 people had registered to jump, but the numbers could increase with last minute entries.
The money raised will help in funding the Special Olympics.
Take a look at the videos below to see interviews with organizers, jumpers and community members.
