Meditation and painting go hand in hand
Painting and meditation are considered to be two of the most relaxing recreational activities, so the Walkersville Art Co-op is combining both.
The painting and meditation sessions, hosted by Nora Franko, are offered on a biweekly basis with many unique art activities.
Franko is offering a place to share passion and also to help people go to a place inside their minds where they can find peace and creativity through a very relaxing atmosphere.
The event starts with a guided meditation for about 45 minutes with music and aromas. The meditation is followed by acrylic flow painting. Participants mix and create new shades of colours for painting. The technique of flow painting creates unpredictable art.
Nora also explained how this idea of meditation and art came together.
“I have started painting and meditation events couple years ago. I always wanted to combine two together because while meditation I used to have some visuals and I used to paint them,” she said.
She also said painting and meditation help an individual to rejuvenate and think with a clear mind to tackle daily life problems.
The next event will be held on April 5. To relieve your stress and experiment creativity, join the artists at Walkerville Artist Co-op.
