Fans of the The Hip can enjoy a musical tribute to the iconic Canadian rock band on November 9 to benefit a Windsor-Essex charity.

Transition to Betterness will receive proceeds from the concert that will take place at The Ariius Nightclub in Caesars Windsor.

As the Tragically Hip’s lead singer and lyricist, Gord Downie was the face and voice of a band that sold more than eight million copies. Downie was 53 when he passed away Oct. 17, 2017 from an aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer called glioblastoma.

Transition to Betterness is dedicated to comforting families and patients with life-altering illnesses.

General admission for the tribute concert is $25 in advance and $40 at the door.

Ariius Nightclub is located inside Caesars Windsor (377 Riverside Dr. E.), near the south entrance.
