Homeowner in critical condition after running into burning building to save dog

A homeowner who ran into a burning building to save his dog remains in critical condition in hospital.

The blaze broke out in a home in the 1400 block of Pillette Road about 2 a.m. Sunday.

Three people were displaced by the fire, which caused $350,000 in damage to a duplex.

The cause is being listed as unattended cooking.
