Ontario-wide Catholic school strike

Students who are a part of the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board get a day off today as the conflict continues between the teachers and the government. 

This one-day walkout is another sign of the issues the teachers’ unions have across Ontario with the provincial government. The union states the strike has to do with class size increases and the introduction of mandatory e-learning courses.  All Catholic schools across Windsor and Ontario will be closed today.

Day camps have been provided by several businesses and organizations for children in LaSalle, Windsor and Lakeshore. 

The WECDSB wants students, families and teachers to be patient in this process and hope that a resolution between both parties can be resolved soon.
