It has been really difficult for everyone to maintain a balanced diet during this past year. We all have been binge-watching our favourite TV shows and eating a hefty amount of sugar and sodium alongside, without even realizing how harmful it is for our bodies.

So here’s a list of some superfoods that you should include in your everyday meal that will keep you warm and healthy this winter:

1. Oatmeal- Packed with fibre and protein, oatmeal is the best superfood out there. Be it heart-related ailments or weight loss, a bowlful of oats along with your favourite veggies or fruits can be a treat to your taste buds and health.

2. Raw Honey- Cholesterol-free, fat-free and sodium-free, one can add honey in almost everything they want as a replacement to sugar. Consuming honey every day helps keep your heart in check and also boosts immunity. Drinking warm water with honey and lemon juice in the morning is the best way to consume honey and give a kick start to your day.

3. Green Tea- Needless to mention green tea is the healthiest alternative out there if you are planning on decreasing your caffeine intake. Packed with antioxidants, green tea helps boost the immune system and keeps winter diseases like cold and cough at bay.

4. Trail Mix- If you are one of those people who love to munch while studying, working etc. then this one is for you. A trail mix is a mixture of nuts, seeds, cashew, pumpkin seeds, melon seeds, dried pineapple, almonds, walnuts etc. You can make one at home using your favourite nuts and seeds and enjoy it during any time of the day. The dietary fibres and proteins of the mix will keep you full and prevent the urge to eat sweet or salted snacks.
