Summer student lottery program

Applications for the 2023 Summer Student Lottery Program are now available on the City of Windsor’s website. Through this program, post-secondary students who qualify can obtain experience working in a variety of city agencies, including Public Works and Parks & Recreation. A candidate must be at least 17 years old by May 1 of the hiring year to be eligible.

“It’s very tough here getting a part time job,” said Nikhil Pimplekar, an international student. “I don’t know about the full-time job but I’m a student, so part-time job is my own concern and it is very hard to find here. I believe that this should be something the government should look into and should have international community to grow well, by doing the part-time jobs and creating the part-time jobs for us.”

The city’s summer student program is open to international students. Applications must be completed and submitted online no later than 4:30 p.m. on
Wednesday, January 18th, 2023.
