Windsor Fire battles blaze in Cities West End

University Avenue W was closed early morning due to a house fire.

Windsor Fire responded to a working fire in the 1300 block of University Avenue around 6 a.m.

Roads were at University Avenue between Cameron Avenue and McKay Avenue for several hours.

Around 11:30 am Windsor Police tweeted “UPDATE: University Ave West between Cameron and McKay is now open to traffic. Thank you for your patience.”

Damages to the residence is estimated at $400,000.
