Black history month Art Exhibition Opens
February is Black History Month and People across Canada organize and participate in various events.
Black history month has come to the John Muir Library at 363 Mill St. It’s a month-long exhibition as a tribute to the black community by a local artist.
Akbar Abraham is an immigrant who moved to Windsor from Africa.
“So important for us because new generation and people know more about the history of black people and what happened back at that time with our ancestors in Canada and back in Africa to brings them here,” said Abraham. “And racism at some point is okay now.”
