56th Convocation at St. Clair College
Students at St Clair college came together for their graduation ceremony. The 56th Convocation ceremony was held at the Chrysler Theatre, last week.
The convocation Ceremony was hosted by prominent college president Dr. Patricia France, she will retire late end this year. More than 300 graduates accepted their degrees and certifications from her.
Mehari Hagos was awarded with an honorary degree in Applied Arts in Social Justice and Legal Studies. This added a touch of prestige to the ceremony, when he shared insights from his personal life journey. He says he grew up poor in a rough neighborhood and made it his goal to give back.
Students can now step into the real world in their chosen field of study.
All the students expressed their sense of pride at their latest accomplishment.
Families and friends gathered to witness the momentous occasion, applauding for the graduates for their dedication and hard work throughout their college years.
In line with times, the ceremony embraced technology with live streaming options for those unable to attend in person. This allowed friends and family from across the world join in the celebration.
