Coldest Night of the Year raises $100,000 for homeless

The Downtown Mission in Windsor exceeded expectations on Feb. 24, raising a record amount of funds for the Coldest Night of the Year event.

Residents united to combat homelessness and hunger, raising $100,000 in the process.

Executive Director Rakshini Ponniah Gaulin said the community provided an overwhelming amount of support to the cause this year.

Funds will directly aid those in need, providing essential services like shelter and meals.

The success of the event highlights Windsor’s compassion and resilience in helping people experiencing homelessness.
