ACT (Arts Collective Theatre) represent Rent at Capitol Theatre

Rent is a rock musical by Jonathan Larson about a group of people in the East Village in New York City ‘falling in love, finding your voice, and living for today.’ Larson wrote the book, music and lyrics for Rent and is the winner of Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. 

The production team rearrangement for Rent is by 8 people. Musical Arrangements organized by Steve Skinner, Music Supervision and Additional Arrangement by Tim Weil, Original Concept/Additional Lyrics by Billy Aronson, Music Supervision and Additional Arrangements by Tim Weil, Dramaturg by Lynn Thomson, Directed by: Chris Rabideau amd Musical Direction by Alde Calongcagong 

Inspired by Puccini’s La Boheme, the characters in the musical face challenges of poverty, addiction and HIV/AIDS, struggling to survive as friends and lovers. Award-winning musicals represent emotional and ground-breaking music that guides young artists and musicians narrating their conflicts with powerful stories with audiences of all ages impacting pop culture.  

From Friday, Oct. 4 starting at 8 p.m. to Saturday, Oct. 12 ends at 2 p.m., the shows run at the Capitol Theatre during those dates for Rent Musical lovers and running for the week.   

Tickets are easily affordable to purchase. Tickets for adults are $38 and students/seniors who are 60 and up are $32. Seating can range from $34 to $40, regular are $43 and students/seniors are $37.
