Annual Sparky’s Toy Drive

The LaSalle firefighters and other firefighters in Windsor and Essex Country are running their annual sparky toy drive. This is where people donate toys to families who cannot afford toys for their children. 

The Sparky toy drive has a lot of help collecting the toys that people come by and donate toys to the toy drive.  

Cody Lang is a firefighter who runs the toy drive with other people who volunteer with the toy drive.  

“The Sparky toy drive has been running in Windsor Essex country for over just over fifty years now and has been working with Windsor firefighters’ benefit”, said Lang.  

They always make sure many of the kids have toys for the holidays 

  “We are the largest toy drive in the Windsor, Essex community,” said Lang.  

More than one hundred families from the  year 2023 received toy donations from the Sparky’s toy drive. 

 This year they expect to deliver toys to over 3,000 kids and the event has been giving Christmas toys to children aged 16 and under.  

The event runs from November 12 to Christmas.   

Many people can donate or drop off their donations to any local fire halls that are taking donations.
