Police blotter Feb. 13

Windsor Police Service are asking for assistance in locating two men involved in a recent assault.
Two men allegedly confronted a 21-year-old male and his friend in Remington Park Feb. 12 in an attempted robbery.
The alleged victim said he was walking through the park when the two men approached him and chased him when he ran away.
The man fell down and had his cell phone and cigarettes taken.
One of the alleged suspects is described as a Caucasian male, 20-25 years old, 5’11’’ to 6’0’’ and was wearing a grey hoodie and blue jeans. The other alleged suspect is said to possibly be black or Middle Eastern ethnicity and was wearing a black winter jacket, black pants and black shoes.
In a separate, unrelated incident police are also looking for two men involved in an assault in the area of Brock and Russell Streets near the Detroit River.
One of the alleged men involved in this incident is said to have an electric mobility scooter and had contact with witnesses in the area.
Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call the WPS Investigation Unit at (519) 255-6700 extension 4830 or Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS.

In a 24-hour period spanning Feb. 12-13, WPS:

• Answered 432 calls to emergency 911 phone lines
• Responded to 54 calls to 911 requiring police attendance
• Handled 259 calls for service, dispatched or officer-initiated
• Issued 70 tickets for provincial offences
• Arrested and lodged 14 prisoners
