Pedestrian victim of hit-and-run has died

Police confirm a 79-year-old pedestrian has died of his injuries after being struck by a vehicle this past Tuesday.

According to police, the man was struck while crossing the street and was taken to hospital for treatment of his severe injuries. He later died in hospital.

The crash closed Tecumseh Road East between Buckingham Drive and Rivard Avenue for several hours.

The investigation is ongoing.
