“A Pill For Loneliness”, City and Colour Returns With Sixth Studio Album
On Oct. 4, nearly 5 years since his 2015 release If I Should Go Before You, Dallas Green returned with his sixth studio album under the City and Colour alias, ‘A Pill For Loneliness’.
The singer-songwriter from St. Catharines, Ont. said in a social media post that the album title was a late change inspired by something he heard on the news.
“They were talking about how researchers are trying to create an actual pill for loneliness,” said Green.
“I thought it was pretty awful that we live in a world that is making it necessary for us to need a pill to cure being lonely. I realized music was my pill for loneliness…. ‘a pill for loneliness’ is the right title. It is the best way to describe this album and the band.”
Green and his band performed at The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor Nov. 20 with support from Jacob Banks and Ben Rogers.
