Man in green sought for string of robberies
By Barry Hazlehurst
Windsor Police believe a robbery that occurred in the 16-hundred block of Tecumseh Road East on Wednesday may have been committed by the same individual who robbed five other stores.
The suspect is a white male, around five-foot-six in height and was wearing a particular green jacket with a reflective “X” on the back. The suspect also wore a mask, sunglasses and a green toque. Investigators say this could be the same person who robbed a store on Drouillard Road on March 2nd and March 6th, as well as a store that was robbed on March 7th.
Although the suspect alluded to a weapon .in his pocket, a weapon was never seen. No-one was hurt during the robberies.
Windsor Police have released security camera footage of the suspect in the hopes that someone will recognize his actions and mannerisms. He is shown stumbling into the store and appeared to be having trouble standing in one place.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Windsor Police Major Crimes Branch at 519 255 6700 ext. 4830.
