For one Windsor shopkeeper, it was a first – having his store robbed.

Police are investigating the alleged armed robbery on the 7600 block of Tecumseh Road East which happened in the evening on Sept. 29.

Ramzi Yousef, owner of Cande’s Convenience Store, said he has never been robbed in his 25 years as a business owner.

The robbery occurred between 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., said Yousef.

No one was hurt in the robbery, said Yousef.

He added there was only one customer in the store when the alleged robber came in with a sharp knife and a mask.

Police report the suspect did receive some money, then ran southbound from the store.

They have also released surveillance video and a photo of the suspect who was wearing a ski mask.

He is described as white, tall and slim. He was wearing a royal blue, long-sleeve shirt with black pants. The navy blue ski mask had a white band with the words “OBEY.”

While police are appealing to the public for information, they are also advising to not approach the suspect and to call the authorities immediately.
