Black Friday deals at Devonshire Mall the best yet

This Black Friday, customers to Windsor’s Devonshire Mall were welcomed with discounts from 25 to 75 per cent in most stores.

Bright and early – at 7 a.m. – the mall kicked off its campaign, an answer to the larger event on the U.S. side of the border.

Here, each store has their own special strategy and deep discount to attract customers. They did not close the doors until 10 p.m.

“Some stores are very secret, they keep their lists very private, so we don’t know until the black Friday day,” said Karen Niforos, marketing director of the Devonshire Mall.

“Most stores are involved. There are 165 stores (at the mall) and I want to say 95 per cent will be (offering) deals today. I know the Bombay Company, everything in this store will be 50 per cent of

I know the Bombay Company, everything in this store will be 50 per cent off, which is going to make a very busy day,” she said. “They have never done so much per cent in our entire stores, so I think most stores are participating and having a lot of fun doing it.”

The lowest discounts offered were in Bentley where there was up to 75 per cent off on some items – deals that lasted three days from Nov. 24 to 27. Charm Diamond Centres was offering 70 per cent off some jewellery. Many other stores were offering 50 per cent discounts.

The mall also offered free gift wrapping all day on Nov. 24.
