The Bright Lights in Windsor is finally wrapping up after having been extended until this week.

The $1.5-million event was extended due to the cold snaps and the city decided to extend the visiting hours for the residents. The last night was Jan. 9.

Gourav Kamboj, who went to Bright Lights, said he has never seen something so beautifully decorated.

“I went with my friends and clicked pictures,” said Kamboj. “Though it was very cold, it was a great experience.”

According to the Bright Lights website, the event had various shows for visitor’s entertainment like a light show and festive performances over the weekend.

It also had a “sELFie” contest where visitors had to spot elves in the parks and post it to the “Bright Lights Windsor” Facebook event page or to Instagram. Guests were encouraged to tag #BrightLightsWindsor for a chance to win a $20 gift card.
