A Sarnia-based ex-gymnastics coach was acquitted on two sex-related charges.
On Feb. 13, Dave Brubaker, a former coach for the Canadian Olympic team, was found not guilty for the related charges from 2000 and 2007.
Brubaker denied any attraction to the woman and maintained any contact was for therapeutic purposes only. After his arrest, Brubaker lost his standing as a national coach.
According to Devin Heroux, a CBC News/Olympics Reporter, family and friends of Brubaker in the courtroom applauded after the verdict was announced.
