Business Clothing Drive

Aerotek is holding a business clothing drive that will help people in need of clothing to give a sense of professionalism in the work place.
Mike Verzosa, contract manager at Aerotek located on 4510 Rhodes Drive in Windsor, said he is very supportive of the idea and feels it benefits the people of Windsor who need this type of clothing.
“It’s something we needed to do for the community. We found a need for it because there are people coming in for interviews that aren’t necessarily representing themselves in the best way possible,” said Verzosa.
Claire Ferris, administrative assistant at Aerotek who came up with the idea of doing this drive is very happy with all the donations received.
“Just from our office alone we have 218 articles of clothing donated so far,” said Ferris. “Last night when I left work I had 78 and so in one day alone we jumped more than 100 pieces of clothing.”
Aerotek is looking for business clothing like suits, button-up shirts, sweaters, modest clothing for women and dress pants but they will also accept other gently used clothing as well.
“This is going to benefit people who might not be able to afford a proper interview outfit or proper work clothes because they have been out of work for so long,” said Ferris.
Ferris said although this is the first year of this clothing drive, she is really impressed with what has already been donated.
“If this keeps going as well as it has been, I am hoping to make it bigger and bigger each every year and make it an annual event,” said Ferris.
The last day to donate is Oct. 18, and the business hours at Aerotek are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
“I just thought this was a great idea, seeing people coming in and out of the office, not necessarily presenting themselves in the best light I know they could – it really inspired me to run this drive,” said Ferris.
