Driver crashes on bank of Little River, faces impaired driving charges
A 20-year old Windsor male is facing charges of impaired driving after losing control of his car and crashing on the opposite bank of Little River.
On Jan. 25, not long after patrol officers observed the vehicle in question barrelling eastbound on Wyandotte at approximately 1:00 a.m., the blue Cadillac was discovered overturned on the eastern bank of Little River. Responding officers determined that the car went airborne and flipped, landing next to the river.
Police arrested the driver without incident.
A passenger, who was trapped in the vehicle, was assisted by officers in exiting the vehicle. He and the driver were transported to the hospital. Their injuries were later determined to be life-threatening for the driver, and non-life-threatening for the passenger.
