City prepares for high winds
With Hurricane Sandy rocking the Eastern seaboard, City of Windsor crews are preparing to deal with the effects.
A wind warning has been issued by Environment Canada for the region with gusts of up to 100 km/h possible.
City officials warn to beware of downed trees, branches, power lines and other obstructions on the roads, as well as the prospect of traffic signals losing power.
Residents can call 311 for tree damage service.
If you spot a downed power line, call EnWin 519-255-2727.
