Copeland to be inducted to OCAA Hall of Fame

The St. Clair Saints will have yet another men’s basketball player in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Hall of Fame.

George Copeland will be part of the seventh OCAA Hall of Fame induction class. The class will feature 35 athletes, coaches and builders from across the province.

Copeland graduated from the business administration and data processing program and played three seasons for the Saints from 1981-1984. Copeland holds the sixth spot in Saints history for points with 1676 in his college career. He was voted an OCAA All-Star in all four seasons he played and was crowned MVP in his last two.

Copeland was named student athlete of the year in 1983-84 and was inducted into the schools Hall of Fame after graduation.

Copeland will be joining the four Saints basketball players already inducted into the Hall of Fame.
