County Road 42 collision ends in death

A Lakeshore man involved in a collision on Essex County Road 42 has died.

Jesse Thurlby, 19, suffered life threatening injuries when he lost control of his vehicle while heading westbound before being struck by an oncoming around 9:50 p.m. on March 15.

OPP technical collision investigators completed an investigation during a six-hour period when Essex County Road 42 was closed.

The other driver suffered injuries and no charges will be laid.
