County school buses cancelled due to fog

All school buses in the county were cancelled Monday morning due to fog and poor weather conditions. They will operate as normal in the afternoon.

Student transportation for all county schools has been cancelled this morning due to the fog.

Spotters were sent out to assess weather conditions and the decision was made about 6:45 a.m.

“There was particularly heavy fog in the Leamington areas and LaSalle. Anywhere near water was very foggy this morning,” said Scott Scantlebury, the public relations officer for the Greater Essex County District School Board.

“They determined that buses would be cancelled for the county only, since it didn’t impact the city as greatly.”
