CP Holiday Train makes stop in Windsor
by Chris Richards
Hundreds of Windsorites gathered at the Canadian Pacific train yard for a good cause and a little holiday cheer this evening.
Making its way across Canada from Quebec to British Columbia, the CP Holiday Train made its stop in Windsor tonight to put on a show and help raise food and money for the Windsor Essex County Food Bank Association. Attendees were treated to live music by Canadian group The Claytones, an arrangement of boxcars decorated with bright lights and holiday scenes and a special visit from Santa.
According to Canadian Pacific, since its inception 13 years ago the Holiday Train has raised over $6.4 million and over 2.6 million pounds of food across Canada and the U.S.
