Downtown restaurants are not just offering discounts and offers to the customers, but they’re trying to be part of the holiday celebration too.

With the shops lit up, they are hoping to light up the lives of people with their services.

Mark Boscariol, owner of the SnackBar-B-Q, has covered his storefront with white lights and said he looks forward to this time of year.

“You get different celebrities in, different politicians in. You may see people whom you see once in every few months,” said Boscariol. “They all come in during Christmas time. It gives you a boost.

“It is like we have customers paying each other tabs, buying drinks. It is a fun and good environment and this is my favorite party time of the year,” he said.

Customers were enjoying the ambiance downtown, but also looking forward to the break.

“My mom and stepdad are coming here so I’m going to host them and entertain them. It will just be the three of us and my dog and I’m very much looking forward to a quiet Christmas,” said Bobby Rosson, as he was leaving a restaurant.
