Early morning fire on Windsor’s east end

An early morning fire forced residents out of their apartments on Windsor’s east side.

Calls came in to Windsor Fire and Rescue Services to attend 2455 Rivard Ave. for a working fire on the fifth floor of the building around 7 a.m. this morning.

According to Windsor EMS and fire some residents are being treated for smoke inhalation on scene.

Damage estimates are currently unavailable but Windsor Fire is working on determining the status of the building.
