Connor Presland is showing his entrepreneurial and philanthropic spirit without leaving his home.  With the support of his mother and encouragement of his family 11 year old Presland started his own business from home – Connor’s Cookies.

Presland has always enjoyed baking but when his mother Sandra Presland posted a video of him baking in mid-April friends and family immediately started asking for some. According to Sandra, “We started delivering them the following week to brighten their day, and it quickly turned into a business.”

Presland has also been supporting frontline healthcare workers by donating cookies. On top of having his own Facebook page Sandra and Connor are offering free delivery locally. Connor’s cookies is offering three different flavours chocolate chip, ultra chocolate and peanut butter chocolate chip, half a dozen costs $12 and a full dozen costs $24.

When asked what piece of advice Presland can give to other aspiring entrepreneurs he said “If you can put your mind to something you can do it.” Presland also enjoys his time by playing Minecraft online with his friends.

Presland is in Grade 5 at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Elementary School. Schools have been closed until September. In the meantime he will continue to bake and sell his cookies, orders can be placed online.
