ERCA to host prairie pollinator workshop
The Essex Region Conservation Authority is hosting a free prairie pollinator workshop on March 24.
The workshop looks at the restoration of prairie habitat, environmental benefits of native tall grass, planting and establishment techniques as well as maintenance.
This workshop will also focus on grants and financial assistance available to landowners, as well as the potential challenges that might challenge the restoration of the prairie habitat.
ERCA has invited local farming community and rural landowners for their insights and will be hosting Joanne Sanderson, from the Ontario Soil & Crop Improvement Association, and farmer Henry Denotter as guest speakers.
For more than four decades, Essex Region Conservation has been working on the environment of the Windsor-Essex-Pelee Island region.
