Essex County Medical Society welcomes new president
By Zander Kelly
The Essex County Medical Society’s new top doctor has politics and mega-hospitals to worry about, according to her predecessor.
Doctor Padma Naidu stepped into her new position on December 5th.
The previous president, Dr.Maher Zayouna, said there are important issues to tackle for the Windsor Medical Community.
Zayouna said that the politics of Windsor are always an issue to work with, especially with the upcoming Mega-Hospital.
Naidu will be representing physicians across the region until 2020.
The ECMS exists to help connect patients with physicians and to give voice to the concerns of more than 460 member physicians.
“The organization traditionally has this board of members and leadership,” said Naidu.
“So, I’m glad to be the president coming in.”
