Events are coming back to Caesars Windsor
After 264 days with no live entertainment, The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor is back with a talent pack schedule.
When The Colosseum closed its doors in September 2021 it was unknown when the usually lively location would reopen. But with COVID-19 restrictions becoming optional as opposed to mandatory, Caesars Windsor is ready to give the public what they have been waiting for, with live entertainment such as concerts and shows starting on May 5.
Susanne Tomkins, the manager of communications and PR at Caesars Windsor, said she hopes bringing back live entertainment will help the community.
“I hope that they (the public) just get back those memorable experiences that you get when you go to a live show,” said Tomkins. “Being there creates memories and moments that can last a lifetime, and we are so happy to be a part of that again and help create those experiences for people.”
Along with workers getting excited to head back to The Colosseum, concert goers in Windsor are counting down the days till their first show back in the venue.
Zachary Balogh has been attending concerts since 2011, multiple of which have taken place at The Colosseum. He said that even though he is thrilled to get back to that “amazing feeling of seeing your idols live,” he wishes that some COVID-19 protocols would stay in place due to it being a smaller venue.
“I think it’s great that shows are starting again, but at this time i don’t have any plans to attend any of the events happening there,” Balogh said. “I think they should keep mandatory mask just because it’s a lot of people in close quarters and especially if you are not able to distance yourself.”
Tickets are on sale now, Tomkins said that some of the shows will be selling out so if there’s any interest in attending events you can go to Caesars.com for more information and possible updates.
