Driver Seriously Injured after Erie st Crash

Windsor police were called to a single vehicle accident on the 400 block of Erie St at approximately 5:45 a.m. on Feb. 4.

Authorities said after the car strayed off the road, it struck a stationary monument.

The driver, and only occupant of the vehicle, was taken to the hospital after suffering serious injuries, their condition was later determined to be life – threatening.

The driver was transported to Detroit to receive further medical treatment.

The road was closed for approximately six hours after investigating the scene by Accident Reconstruction Unit, before re-opening to the public.
