Fatal collision involving pedestrian
A pedestrian was killed on Sunday night in central Windsor.
The incident happened on Nov. 24 at approximately 7 p.m on Howard Avenue south of Tecumseh Road East. Paramedics were first on the scene and tending to the victim when police arrived. According to Windsor Police Service report, the injured adult male was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The involved vehicle remained on the scene while the driver spoke to the officers. The scene was contained for investigation.
Unfortunately, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries, and the case is classified as a fatal motor vehicle collision investigation. The section of Howard Avenue was examined by reconstruction specialists and forensics officers and has since reopened.
