Fear of coyotes in LaSalle on the rise
Coyote sightings in LaSalle are on the rise, but police asking people to stop calling them for every sighting.
According to LaSalle Police Service, people should not call 911 every time they see a coyote, but should call if the coyote poses an imminent threat. The request comes after receiving a large number of emergency calls regarding coyotes.
Police warn coyotes are entering their mating season which will last until March. Coyotes can be bolder and more territorial during this time of year.

Ten coyote sightings were reported last week.
