Fire investigation underway after 2nd fire reported
Windsor Fire and Rescue Services was on scene of a commercial fire at 375 Giles Boulevard East on Sept. 26.
Windsor Fire had multiple callers around 7 p.m.
On arrival, engine one had heavy smoke and fire coming from the south side of the building.
Truck one and truck five were in the air hitting the fire and looking for hotspots.
Crews had difficulty hitting the fire because it was in the HVAC system. The fire has since been extinguished.
Giles was closed westbound and eastbound to all traffic from McDougall to Mercer Street but has since re-opened.
There was a fire at this exact location last year which had damages estimated between $500,000 – $1 million. Making it the second fire at this location. Fire Investigators have been notified.
