Windsor Fire and Rescue Services want you to make a plan with at least two ways to escape your home if it catches on fire.

Windsor Fire & Rescue Services wants to continue to keep you and your family safe.

Fire Prevention Week activities are taking place Oct. 8 – 14 at the Devonshire Mall. These include a fire extinguisher simulator, fire truck tours, an appearance by fire safety mascot Sparky and games with prizes.

John Lee, fire prevention officer for the Windsor fire department, said this year’s theme is “two ways out.”

“Make sure you have an escape plan,” he said.

Attendees can expect to see crews on scene, including two fire trucks, and a display at the mall with a number of different fire prevention initiatives. Information and materials related to fire safety will also be distributed.
