First hotel in Tecumseh area

A Holiday Inn Express will be built in Lakeshore Ont. near the town of Tecumseh. The hotel will be built along Amy Croft Drive, between the Boston Pizza and the Esthetica Day Spa.  The hotel will be built on the Tecumseh Golf Centre property. The owner of Tecumseh Golf, Blake Lucas, has said the hotel is being built on 20 per cent of the driving range, equating to about 2-3 acres.

 Robert P. Haglund, the owner of the local Boston Pizza, says “This will be a fantastic impact on the Tecumseh, Lakeshore area. . . I believe having this hotel will be a huge boost for the economy around here.” Haglund said he anticipates a 20-25 per cent increase in profit and sales for all the businesses in Tecumseh and Lakeshore from this hotel.

The new hotel  is expected to open in December of 2020.
