First phase of city reconstruction to begin on Riverside Dr.

Windsor City council signed off on a $6.3-million contract which includes five construction projects on Riverside Dr.

The first project is the construction on Riverside Dr. and Lauzon Rd. Larger sewers will be added alongside barrier curbs to prevent front yard water pooling. The city has hired Amico Infrastructures Inc. for this project.

Anna Godo, Senior Engineer for the City of Windsor, said the area experiences more flooding more frequently.

 

During the floods of September 2016 and August of 2017, the area was greatly affected.

 

The construction is expected to take the full year.
