Grab a winter bite in Windsor this week

Ten years running, Winter Bites restaurant week is back. This week-long culinary event encourages Windsorites to try a new restaurant, thanks to special menu offerings.

Most of the three-course menus start at just $17. Twenty different local restaurants are participating, including Frank Brewing Co., Thyme Kitchen and Tiki Sushi. Windsor-Essex favourites including The Willistead and The Manchester are also on the list of participating restaurants.

WindsorEats organizes the week of special menus in the summer and the winter. Since 2004, Adriano and Pina Ciotoli have managed WindsorEats, hoping to make it easier for Windsor-Essex residents to find different places to eat.

“We believe that Windsor and Essex County has some of the best restaurants in Canada and, dare we say, the world,” the Ciotolis say on their Facebook page.

WindsorEats also organizes bikes and beers tours, a drinking tour of Walkerville and a number of other events throughout the year.
