Halloween a hit at Windsor Farmers Market
Ghouls and goblins mixed with gourds and greens at last weekend’s Farmers Market.
Families turned out in droves to trick-or-treat at the weekly event that attracts more than 40 exhibitors selling everything from fresh produce to handcrafted wears.
“The Farmers Market is a great event that Steve Green has been putting on for about 10 years or so,” said Jeff Denomme, a local vendor who sells his own line of hot sauces called Halo Heats.
“It just moved to Pellissier maybe five years ago-ish,” Denomme said. “I’ve seen a huge uptick and people actually coming out and celebrating our local makers and vendors. And yeah, it gets really busy down here. It’s pretty cool.”
Children trick-or-treated in safety while adults browsed for unique items and gifts.
“We did not expect this kind of an opening,” said another vendor who identified himself only as Chinmay. “Even Last night we were in the farm, Friday Night Market. We had a good experience there as well. I mean, we are loving it. And people are loving it as well.”
The next market takes place November 5th from 8 to 1.
