At 1 a.m on Sunday, police arrested a young man for stabbing five people and killing two in Quebec City. The stabbing occurred in the historic Old Quebec neighbourhood near Le Chateau Frontenac Hotel. According to multiple media outlets, Quebec City police said the accused was wielding a Japanese sword and wearing medieval attire. Quebec City police have found the young man was not involved with any extremist or terrorist groups and mental illness may have played a role in the attack.
